Edgilent implemented a customized dealer portal for dealers to log on, perform product and pricing updates, and syndicate buyer-specific catalogs to their customers. The solution today is being offered as a service offering to the dealers to address the requirement for profile-driven, buyer-specific, XML-based online product information exchange.
B2B Supplier Enablement for a Leading Farm Equipment Maker, Moline
This manufacturer was looking for a rapid and cost effective way to select, enable and source from a large group of suppliers of non-production goods and services through its newly implemented Ariba e-procurement package. Having spent millions of dollars in implementing this e-procurement system, the company was looking for ways to accelerate its supplier integration efforts to achieve its e-procurement ROI. The challenge was to analyze its supplier base, select a set of suppliers that met its sourcing objectives from a “total acquisition cost” perspective and then enable all approach and a detailed project plan to accomplish these supply management goals. They outsourced the enablement program to Edgilent and Edgilent managed the entire effort from start to finish to e-enable one thousand suppliers in a four month period.

This industrial manufacturer conducts B2B procure-to-pay transactions with its vast supply base. Edgilent worked with the company in migrating the supply base from Ariba Buyer ™ to Oracle Iprocure ™ and managed the enablement of over eight hundred suppliers nationwide. The enablement effort included overall a project management, supplier registration activities, catalog creation and quality assurance and other technology advisory services. Edgilent was able to contribute in a significant way in the rapid adoption of this portal amongst the supplier base resulting in significant cost savings through sourcing efficiencies.
